Hello to All!

Well, we are finally warming up and summer is just around the corner! Yeah! After doing two shows I can tell you it has been great to see people again and seeing all the fun projects people have been working on over the winter months!

Here at Camp Wool we have stocked up on some great wools and probably the best selection of cottons ever! Not to mention at least a dozen new applique samples and a new rug pattern in support of Ukraine. We hope you can pay us a visit over the summer!!!

Covid numbers unfortunately are too high now to do large group classes. However, I will be happy to teach one to one and/or small groups that are used to being together in rug hooking, punch needle or wool applique. I know there is a lot of debate on vaccinations and I fully respect everyone’s decision. However, I have proven despite vaccination to be susceptible to Covid and must take the stance to require vaccination or a recent (last 48 hours) negative test in order to attend class. Simply call me at the store and we will look at calendars to make arrangements! Masks during class will be based on mutual decisions at time of class. I am still looking at hosting other teachers over the summer but nothing has been scheduled yet. I will keep you all updated on that front over the next month!

Camp Wool Will be Vending Again in late July!

(Note: store closed dates during and after event)

I am please to announce that I will be vending this summer at the Maine State Quilt Show hosted by the Maine Pine Tree Quilters Guild in Augusta, Maine.

When: July 28, 29 & 30! 9:00 to 5:00 p.m. each day.

Where: Augusta Civic Center

Admission: One-day $10. See site for multi-day and group discounts.

Please note that the store will be closed the week of July 25 and the week of Aug 1 while we work the show and then bring merchandise back and set the store back up again!

Planning a visit to Camp Wool – Upcoming Open Store Hours/Schedule!

Each month over the summer I will be posting schedules as far in advance as possible as I know so many of you have far to come and need to schedule ahead. I will do my absolute best to plan in advance but please confirm by checking the website, Facebook or store voicemail just to be sure!!

Store Hours – Month of June

Open Wednesday – Saturday 10:00 to 4:00 the entire month (i.e. no special closed dates)

Store Hours – Month of July

July 1 – July 23

Open Wednesday – Saturday 10:00 to 4:00 PM

Except Saturday July 2nd: Closing at 1:00 PM

July 25- July 31 – Store will be closed – Vending at Maine State Quilt Show

Store Hours – Early August

August 1-5 – Store will be closed – Watch for additional updates from August 6 through remainder of the month in the near future.

Open Sews

We will begin open sews starting Wednesday, June 15. Open Sews are $5.00 with 100% going to local animal shelter. Anyone and any project can be pursued. You can come any time during store hours. We have spots for sewing machines too! Just bring your projects and have fun. I will leave it up to attendees and current Covid conditions for the use of masks.

Group Class Room Reservations!

As a reminder, we have a wonderful spot for groups to reserve (other than Wednesdays). We have lowered the fee to $5.00 per person per day with 100% going to local animal shelter. Many folks have reached out to me to stop by! We’d love to have you. Just give me a call at the store to discuss dates.

The Red Barn Motel remains an excellent option if you wish to stay overnight. If you book on line remember to put in Camp Wool in the reservation and get an additional 5% off your room rate. Note: They already offer discounts when you book on-line! They are a very pet-friendly establishment. Also nearby is Ocean Spray Cottages in Harrington check them out as well as many VRBO options in and around Milbridge!!
